HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE ONE!
I bet you feel like you have blinked and it's their 1st birthday already!? It's crazy. Time does not stand still, in another blink they will be 2 so now is a great time to get those professional images taken so you can look back over the years to come - added bonus, cake smash sessions are so much fun!
WHAT TO EXPECT
In the time leading up to the session, we will decide upon your cake and discuss any allergies. My smash shoots are more simplistic, stripped back and the focus is on your baby and the cake which keeps the images as timeless as possible and will look beautiful hung on your walls with any decor.
You can bring your own outfit or use one from my studio wardrobe. My cakes are supplied for the session so there's no need to order one separately, however I do ask that if your baby has a severe allergy that we discuss this and consider bringing your own cake - also, if baby decides smashing the cake isn't on the agenda - you get to go home with it!
I start by capturing some 'clean' shots of baby, then the cake is introduced, followed by the splash bath to have some bubbly clean up pictures. These sessions take between 45mins - 1 hour, depending on baby.
AFTERWARDS
If you have agreed to model release (You are happy for me to share images on my business socials) a sneak peek will be shared to keep you going while the edit is completed. Turnaround time is 2-3 weeks. Please keep this in mind when securing a spot if you want the images to share on their actual Birthday.

When is the best time to book a Cake smash or Birthday session?
It's advisable to book ahead of time to secure your spot, especially if you want the images in time for their Birthday. You can choose if you want it on or surrounding the Birthday or in the weeks before.
How do I secure a session?
Simply drop me an email/call/message - I will send dates of availability, the non refundable deposit to secure is £50, then the remaining balance is due on the day of the shoot.

How do I view my images
I currently offer online gallery viewing - You have a set time to view and choose your images once I send over your password protected link.
What if I need to cancel?
Cake smash sessions are slightly different than my other sessions due me having ordered and paid for a cake. The deposits are non refundable and due to the cake the deposit cannot be moved to another date and if you want to rebook a further deposit would be required
